Recently I had an unusual problem: a document got "hung-up" in my print window, and would not print. It also blocked other documents from printing. I tried canceling the document from the Printers & Faxes window, but it would not delete. The message said, "Deleting," but it never finished. I even went on vacation for a week and left the computer on to see if it would discontinue deleting, but it didn't!
After coming back from vacation, I searched the internet for answers. I love the internet for that calculate - so many citizen sharing their knowledge and experience, all for free, and all at the touch of a few keystrokes! Anyway...
Case For Ipad
I found some instructions that seemed like they would work. However, after trying them some times, I finally modified them so that the document cleared. Yea!
Here's what I did in case you are having problem clearing a document in Windows Xp. Leave the printer on. Then:
From the Start menu, take control Panel. Then effect this path:
Administrative Tools > Services > Print Spooler
Once at the Print Spooler, right click on it. take Stop. Leave this window open. Turn off your printer.
At the open Print Spooler window, right click on the Print Spooler, and take Start.
Go to the Start menu, and take Printers & Faxes. Find the printer you are having problems with and double click on it. From the menu, take Printer, then take Cancel All Documents. The documents should clear.
Turn on your printer. You sould now be able to print.
